Fare Farm Season Launch - Seed and Planting
🌱 Fare Farms Spring Launch: Planting Party & Community Gathering Join Afro Van Connect, in partnership with the Vancouver Maritime Museum, for the Fare Farms Spring Launch—a community-centered planting party marking the beginning of this year’s garden programming. As spring brings renewal, this gathering invites you to reconnect with land, food, and community through hands-on planting, shared learning, and collective care. Together, we will begin cultivating culturally relevant foods rooted in African and Caribbean traditions, while creating a space for connection, reflection, and stewardship. This event is pay-what-you-can, ensuring accessibility for all members of the community. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply curious to learn, you are warmly invited to join us. The Spring Launch also marks the start of a broader season of programming, including walking tours and tastings that explore the stories, histories, and cultural connections embedded in the land and the food we grow. 🌿 What to Expect: Hands-on planting and garden preparation Community connection and shared learning Introduction to Fare Farms and seasonal programming Light refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere Come plant with us.
